I was merely suggesting exhausting his options. Find a different email to try, attempt a phone call or two, etc. Of course, if that doesn’t work then absolutely show up and work it out in person. But I think settling for two email attempts and showing up with fingers crossed, which has been suggested, isn’t the wisest choice. You’re right, he is a big boy and can handle it as he sees fit. He just needs to know that exceptionally qualified people routinely get turned down due to logbook issues.
