Just a matter of paying attention to open trips and hoping there's open trips that work in your favor. Picking up a crappy 3 day when you see a bunch of 4 days trips in open time and nobody with 4 days of availability in the pool. I also pick up global trips that are silo/-1, basically makes your last day of availability an extra day off.

Surely, it's fleet and base dependent but I've only been rolled into a day off once. Sitting about at 18 months on reserve 777/SFO YMMV.
