I don't know if it will keep people here though...regionals are still not a destination airline for most people. There will have to be retention bonuses or bleeding will continue. My classmates (early 2022 hires) are already dwindling. I think...maybe I hope...that the regional model is on the way out. Not sure how it will look in a few years but I don't think they can keep up these pay rates or keep losing pilots at current rates.
Or the no voters realized that we're still paid 5-10% less than our peers? You are right though this won't fix the staffing issues. It's gonna be interesting to watch because the Eboard and BB truly thought FOs would upgrade when they're now making essentially old CA pay while still being able to go to LCC ULCC Legacy without upgrade
