This is inconsistant with my experience. It hasn’t happened here yet, thankfully, but at my last carrier I had multiple instances where I had CA’s go off on long, angry rants, many times despite my pleas to “please shut up, I dont want to talk about this,” and 1000% of the time they were on, you guessed it, the right/far-right side of the spectrum. And no, this wasn’t ”normal” 10 years ago.
I find people like this to be insufferable in large part because they not only think that everyone else is the problem, but that the problem needs to be corrected or eliminated. They think I need to be convinced to think like they do, meanwhile I just want them to shut up about it. For real, quit making your stupid politics that aren’t even your own original ideas such a huge part of your life. Learn to talk about travel or sports or your dog or
anything else. If you tried being the least bit positive, maybe your life situation wouldn’t seem so hopelessly dire. We have a great job, the views are spectacular, quit ruining it with your “where my country gone”
garbage and just let me enjoy my coffee.

What’d you hear that on a podcast 2 weeks ago and now you tramp around pretending you’re some kind of political scholar? For all the “don’t tell me what to do, I’m a free American” drek these people spout, they sure do spend an awful lot of time going around telling other people what they
need to do and how they
need to think.
