I thought CRJ training was much quicker than E175 training at Mesa? Last spring SkyWest had big delays with people waiting months for CRJ IOE. The actual training should be 6-8;weeks but when sim instructors and IOE check airmen quit you end up with people waiting for sims or waiting for IOE, sometimes for months. Even if a current trainee tells you what the current training wait times are, they may change before you get there. The airline expects you to be ready when they are.

If you want a Seattle or Portland base at SkyWest, choose the E175. If you want a Phoenix base at Mesa, choose the CRJ. There is a rumor that Mesa is planning to declare bankruptcy in order to get rid of their American flying and CRJ aircraft, which means their Phoenix base might close.
