Guard is a thing of the past. I’d say MAYBE 5% of the captains I fly with use it. And only when it’s a red eye and we’re probably “studying the panel”.
Guard on #2 100% of the time above 10K. Volume turned down because of the noise. Yes, I have replied "delta ops" to pilots forgetting to flip, but the amount of $#!t on guard is insane. And inexcusable.
