There are a few waterfalls along the road that you can pull over and dive into, unfortunately there are usually other people at them as well. Although a few years back, me and my traveling companion...uh well, nevermind..
And then of course, since you are staying at the Grand Wailea, you must know about Makena Beach, both Big Beach and Little Beach (clothing optional). It's just up the road from you. Dang, you're making me miss some of my old stomping grounds and Maui friends. I do have about 200,000 frequent flyer miles on United that I need to burn. I could be at OGG in 5 hours or so and a long weekend is coming up...
