The thing is though at mainline first year pay is the same in every plane . So the first year pay is the same on the 717 as the 350 . I understand that a new hire Endeavor FO might make an extra 10 bucks an hour first year pay versus mainline , but there is still no comparison. Being at mainline is still light years better . Your second year FO pay is way better and goes up dramatically versus the regional and obviously your Captain pay shreds our 9E Captain pay , even with the new rates . Trust me , as a senior regional lifer I am happy about the new rates but I would have much rather things worked out in my life over my career to be where you’re at . All of you mainline pilots have a lot to be proud of and I know it’s frustrating that they have dragged out your old contract , but new and improved contract is coming for you all . No matter how much they pay at the regional , anyone who makes it to Delta or the other bigger airlines are much better off 👍
