How quickly will a new joining FO be able to bid and be awarded a primary or secondary line?

Do secondary lines contain 13(14) consecutive days off, or are these unique to primary lines only?

What percentage of primary / secondary lines contain the 13(14) consecutive days off?

On a fixed pattern, are you still able to bid for a month or two of out-base from time to time (i.e. if need to make some cash)?

What out-bases are currently on offer?

On a fixed pattern, are you still able to pick-up some open time flights on your off days?

How many years would it take an ANC 747 FO to be able to start bidding successfully for 13/14 consecutive days off back-to-back on two 30(31) primary bid months (i.e. to have 27 consecutive days off)?
Yes, you can still bid outbasing on a fixed pattern line. But once your outbase period ends, you are still on the hook for your work days in the following month. So you are looking at additional 14 to 17 additional days on the road after outbase month ends…
