I spoke with him. At least I am pretty sure, in Kona. He wasn't under 40. Was around 50 IIRC. His plan was to bid SFO 73 at UA. The upgrade was pretty quick at the time. Cool guy. Had some serious concerns and was not happy about how he had been treated at AS. Seemed like a solid guy. Not the kind of person that I would label as a "complainer". I enjoyed speaking with him and I wish him the best at his new employer. He had a legitimate plan for a better career and while it wasn't without risk it seemed like a good plan.
