Hmmm. You guessed it. There is none.

The DP process is what we have. Not perfect, but that's it. It will wither if we do not support it. Your choice.

You are correct in that the current process is all we have, for now. However, it is not too early to plot our next plan of attack with regard to pairing QOL. Arguably, our current process is working to a degree. The SIG/PSIT recommends those pairings that are less than desirable, the crew force votes by either picking or not picking those pairings for three months. IMHO, it’s that second part that gets lost and labeled selfish.

Does it really make sense to dispute a 12-day trip for a sequence that occurs on one of those days? If a pairing is truly unsafe, should anyone including reserves, be FORCED to fly it? Why 3 months, why not 1 or 4? If 13:18 duty day is too long, maybe the limit should be 13:15. How are VTOs disputed with regard to body-clock issues, as some VTOs have those same problems?

Yep, it’s all we have, but you must admit it does have holes. Maybe a monthly thread on making the DP process better in the next contract would be as beneficial as the thread pointing out what they are and who has flown them.
