The bigger joke is that our SR20-G2's are de-rated from 200HP so you don't get a high performance endorsement even though you're flying the "faster and more jet-like" GA trainers.

Transition Course is a little less than $6k, it's like 8 hours of dual and 2 or 3 hours of Sims to get you up to speed on glass cockpit/TAA and "certify safe for solo" before they'll let you start instruments; they're very big on standardization and it probably helps with insurance.

My understanding is that Purdue dropped their SR20's and went back to Archers, we're currently soliciting offers from Cirrus and Piper to replace the current fleet as well (Tons of MX issues and Cirrus is afraid we'll flood the market)
