A while ago I booked a flight with global travel and didn't deviate because I wanted the flexibility of keeping both reservations. I found out that global travel cancelled the scheduled leg for me anyway, effectively deviating me on the trip. I asked them about it and she replied quite indignantly that it's "illegal" to have two reservations on the same day!
