Im a first year FO and I can attest to the difficulty with training pay. Guys in my class literally had to save up at their other airlines to afford training pay here. And first year pay after 401k and taxes is coming out to 33k a year. Thats doable for some, but not with a family if you are sole supporter. Honestly its making me look elsewhere because I can't afford to support my family as an FO at a major airline.
No offense, but seriously why did you come here if the training pay coupled with first year pay was going to give you that much difficulty?
Every single pilot here has had to go through the joke training pay and low first year pay.
Good news is, everyone is hiring. Put your apps out and you should be able to move on quickly.
