Every single pilot here has had to go through the joke training pay and low first year pay.
Good news is, everyone is hiring. Put your apps out and you should be able to move on quickly.
No offense taken at all man. Honestly I came here because as others have said and everybody already knows, this company is better than being at a regional especially when the music stops and especially with some seniority under the belt. Second year pay obviously makes up for it somewhat. I'd rather fly the bus and have the ability to make more with a decent quality of life eventually. Other than that I'm happy here thus far but my intention was to mention that the training pay and 1st year if rough here. I'm also aware that everyone has had to go through the ****ty first year pay wherever they are, but add inflation and a family and it doesn't really cut it here in 2022. I'm also tired of hearing that people used to walk uphill both ways in the snow and flying checks for pennies just to make it to a well paying position. I left the puddle jumpers before all of the regionals literally doubled their pay. It was a no brainer at the time. I'm in a position now in which if pay got changed soon I wouldn't leave, and I know plenty others in the same boat.
