I cannot imagine why anyone would do that. No radio comm, noisy in the extreme, risky if ejection is required. Where would you put it, assuming you took off with it on and I cannot imagine how you wouldn’t have one on. I’ve taken one off on a long overwater leg to scratch an itch, but the noise was awful and it went right back on
