They take about the same time. Since FOs can preference flying with or avoiding captains, they have to be run first.
Not just that, but also making sure to abide by ICAO rules internationally (someone must be under 60 in the cockpit if someone is over 60) and no green on green.
But also bid avoids bid prefers and stuff like that.
