So, is this accurate? If a line pilot goes out on disability he will eventually get 50% FAE just by sitting at home with his feet propped up.
IF he choose to work(whether it be for ALPA or for McDonalds) he can make up to 100% of what his FAE was and then the disability is offset 1:1 . The only way to make more would be if his other job paid more than FAE at which point the disability payment would be 0??? That about right?
If the above is correct, what's the problem?
IOW ....to make double what the line pilot makes in disability you actually have to work. I know....kinda a strange concept for those that roll thunder with PB days
