CAW appeared to have loopholes that if scheduling wanted to get creative could result in pilots waiting for a reassignment at the airport. It was voted down probably in part for the loose language concerning CAW. United has straight up airport standby. No trip cancellation and reassignment required. You’re going to get dressed and commute to where ever for the purpose of sitting at the airport on stby. Have a blast.
