I was at Republic when they ended up with Frontier, Lynx and Midwest. What a freakin debacle. I was one of the Tier Three guys at Republic (FO for seven years). The only winners in that deal were the Junior Lynx FO’s and the senior Republic guys. Anyone thinks that mergers are a good thing has never lived through one.

Mergers suck. When it’s over, very few folks feel like they won - even the ones that do. I know we probably have one coming in my tenure. I just hope I can make it to a comfortable “in base” Captain before it does.

My outsider opinion is that the AT guys are now “one” with us, for better or worse. We all need to focus and keep our eyes on the ball. The next contract will have a dramatic affect on the rest of our lives. We need to get it right and quit worrying about who got screwed ten years ago.
