That's kinda the thing. As previously noted that it would be hard to trade trips with only 110 FOs at CLE, but at AA there can be 1500 guys in your bid status, and you can't trade, drop or add, because everything is so locked down.
I was over my buddies house and I asked him to show me UA's trip trade system, you just check a box next to the trip to drop and a box next to the one to add, done, none of this ballots, DOTCs, running ballots twice a day at weird times song and dance that you have to do at AA just to be denied.
1) Yes the hoops are too many to jump through, get LiteSabre.
2) Get to ORD as soon as you can. You'll sink in seniority, but driving is way better. Plus, you'll still be at a better seniority in less than 2 yrs then guys had for most of their careers. ORD isn't going anywhere. And there is always the XLR carrot on the string too; if they ever put busses there.
