I have done extensive research into this as I am a 43-year-old career changer and am debating doing it as you can get all flight hours done in 9 months.

They don't have a contract out for the public yet, but their FAQs site specifically says it's a loan you pay back at 25 dollars a flight hour, through three years of payroll deductions. The same page also says it's possible to just pay off the loan and never go work for MESA at all. So, if you did 1000 hours expect at least a 25k. That assumes there is no "buyout" penalty written in the contract. But the website seems to indicate you can buyout at any time and work somewhere else.

That being said it sounds like they are full already and have a stack of applications for future slots. I might put in for it anyway just in case, but I am not holding my breath.
