No where, and I mean no where, in the business world is a double-breasted jacket the symbol of professionalism. No one who wears a business suit in a professional setting, from CEOs to senior managers to salespeople to anyone else, chooses a double breasted jacket. I’ve never seen Ed or JL in a double breasted jacket. I’m not sure what the dress code is on the 4th floor, but I can bet that every person on that floor who is wearing a jacket is going single breasted, even flight ops guys who are not in the pilot uniform. A well-fitted, tailored single breasted jacket is the professional norm. We are following some norm that was in place when legal segregation was still a thing. Time to update to todays vision of a professional look.

That’s great, but for the third time, we don’t wear suits to work, we wear a uniform.
