Works for me, firefox and chrome, and on a generic user account. I can see subscribed sub-forums both in the User CP and where they're supposed to be in the forums.
Try clearing any browser cookies with the string "airlinepilot".
Go to your User CP and see if you have any subscriptions listed at the top of the page.
