I can understand the frustration with XJet and Colgan being given their flying, notice I said given and not taken.

I am pretty positive, say 95% a union will be voted in if ALPA has another drive with the Colgan OC. Nothing has changed for the better so I do not see any "yes" votes changing. Also, those who were too lazy to vote with their "what does one vote matter" mentality will realize this time what one vote does matter. Also, I am sure Colgan has upset more people over this last year who used to be a "no" vote and they will be a "yes" vote.

We have had quite a few base closures this last year and displaced pilots are not happy pilots. Plus take a happy Colgan pilot flying out of ROC who is home everynight, happy guy who sees no need for a union. Now tell him his base has closed and now he has to commute to his new base in LGA or IAD and see how happy he is when the vote comes up.

The key will be educate. Since Colgan has a lot of new pilots on the line who do not know the truth it is up to the more experienced guys to teach them. This is what must happen to help them understand the importance. I know I will be taking many new FO's aside and having a heart to heart about why we must vote in a union.

As I said 95%
