So in reality who do you think has hurt the industry more?????? I don't think is us at Colgan.
Easy there... deep breath. A free market opens itself up to all of these changes. I flew turboprops, I now fly a jet (not for a mainline) I'm not going to blame a 20 year old for what I get paid now. I knew plenty of CFI's that couldn't wait to go to Xjet, even more that took the job at Colgan. I don't blame anyone that takes a job they are qualified for. Mainline determines what company flies what routes. Many excuses could be made for the amount of pay... i.e. Fuel, Equipement, Company, Deregulation...etc. I understand hostility against comapanies, but mom and dad determine who gets dessert at the end of the day not the union or lack there of.
As far as jumpseat is concerned, we are all trying to get to work or get home at the end of the day. Who gives a good gad damn who is sitting in the back of the plane. I'm here because I love to fly airplanes, not to make a million dollars
