You will learn the correct (Delta) way to operate the A320 if you get it. It may be more advantageous to start fresh on another airplane. I had a 737 type (-200 years ago) and I don't think any of the procedures were correct according to Delta. My LUV and AAL 737 buds think we do things all wrong BTW.
I’ve flown with a number of guys who were project pilots bringing the 717s over from AirTran and they’ve said those guys raised their eyebrows on a few ways Delta decided to do things. Especially the whole “take it out of PROF and put it into FPA down to mins” just so we can be Delta standard with other fleets and set missed approach alt by 1000 ft.
