If Ed wants to use low revenue destination as a reason to not have a pilot base there, then I want to be paid significantly more than my UAL, AA WN and B6 counterparts, because we only have one base in a low-ish cost of living area when taxes, housing, etc are factored in. (DTW)
When I was an engineer, the same job paid more in NYC than in Casper, Wyoming. Standard of living was similar, but they definitely paid me more working out of the NYC office, because of taxes, housing, etc being way more than WY.
