Nobody is born trans, it’s a choice that one makes. Sex is a real biological thing, Gender is not a real thing, its a construct so being transgender isn't a real thing. You might be thinking of gender dysphoria which is a mental illness. It should be marginalized because it's harmful to the people that destroy their bodies and lives as well as to women who are expected to tolerate it in their spaces.
That all tracks for 20th century medicine and psychology. Today, those fields have a much more fleshed out understanding. Humans have an innate need for spirituality and belonging to a nation with defined borders. Those psychological needs are just as real as gender identity. My skin says I’m from this continent and should worship this G(g)od, but my identity says I belong to this other nation and worship a different supreme being. If gender doesn’t exist or matter then live and let live. Schools are merely telling kids what’s out there, without judgment or fear.
