I know someone that was wrongfully terminated from JetBlue a number of years ago while on probation. The settlement was no where near 2 million, and it took years to pay out….not to mention he did nothing wrong (was on probation). Sometimes companies pay quite a bit to offer a Non-disclosure agreement. Has to be enough to persuade the person not to be paid to talk after events. Consider the payment as part of the "non-negative" advertising budget.
