Why blame the consumer? There would not be a "Predatory" Mesa (Go Airlines) if pilots, mechanics, gate agents...etc. did not accept and agree to work there. I don't blame the public at all.
The zenith of the industrial revolution was the college trained employee. Now companies have learned that they can squeeze profits from these same highly trained individuals who have a lot invested into their education and are disparate to keep their fancy sounding jobs.
Now and in the future the higher paying jobs will go to the skilled blue collar worker and small business owner.
