Meanwhile during Covid most of our pilots made 300 credit hours a month or more voluntarily extending or doing draft/ava and vacation buy back. Many also saw break neck career progression while many at the pax airlines dealt with reduced line values, downgrades, furloughs or voluntary leaves.
I like pay rates as much as anyone but I like my retirement even more. I also like line bidding, our vacation and our work rules. Delta made some good gains but based on what I have seen many areas still lack from what we currently have. My eye is still on the A plan retirement prize while still expecting substantial pay increases.

Anyway, the amount of gain Delta made is important for my expectations. Pre-AIP, their costs are X with millions in profit and they got ALL gains and NO concessions! So their costs are going up commensurate with the new agreement. And FedEx pre-AIP had costs at X and made billions in profit. So if Delta can afford that increase in cost with less profit…so even if you don’t think their stuff isn’t as good as ours, maybe we shouldn’t sell ourselves short. After all, management tells us all the time that we operate in the most difficult system form. So shouldn’t total compensation be higher than any legacy?
