Everyone needs to understand there is an unprecedented in living memory labor shortage happening. This is not standard business cycle stuff. It's the reality of the waning of the baby boom population bomb. You may think no one wants to work but in reality there's simply not enough folks available to enter the workforce at this time to replace the rate of those leaving.

the powers that be know it but they're hoping we're all too stupid to realize it. Years of conditioning folks to believe their work was a little valued commodity and you should be greatful for having a job.

Congress just passed a law imposing a contract on a workforce. What they fail to understand is you can make them accept a labor agreement but you cannot force them to stay. They can and will leave if there are other options.

I say all this to say value your time. It is the most valuable resource any of us have and by extension your labor is very valuable. The delta AIP proves there are gains to be had and there's more if we're just willing to demand it.
