They won't. CAL already took (8) new B-757-300s from ATA, and purposely had them sold to Boeing, then bought them from Boeing, so they WOULDN'T have to take pilots. Pretty under-handed, huh?
I wish them the best; I've been thru what they're going thru, and it stinks. Hard to believe DoD pulled the plug on them.
why would they have to take those pilots? they weren't taking them to fly their routes but to grow CAL out of CAL bases.
Didn't CAL offer interviews to ATA pilots then? A buddy of mine lost some seniority while he was waiting for his class date back when CAL started hiring.
is ATA done completely or just their scheduled flying? will they still run chartered flying?
