Tumi was going to move lineholders up to the same step as reserves. The delta rules will pay 150%, and force them to either put you back on your trip or release you with pay if they can’t. I can’t see how that could possibly be worse than our current reassignment rules, especially since the delta negotiators are claiming there are no concessions. Their reassignment rules were already better than ours, nothing into a day off unless it’s a mechanical out of base or something and it’s just not possible to get you home.
side note I got reassigned just about every bad weather day this spring and summer, multiple times into a day off. It’s basically RJ rules out there on the NB fleets.
I’m on a NB—I get reassigned once every few years. Delta’s reassignment rules are not better than our current book, IMO and based on my friends there, it’s is a very frequent occurrence. The improvements they made are more reminiscent of Tumi—I.e. fixed by pay.
