Listen, I get it, new guys screw up a radio call, a clearance, **** off ground at hnl or ask for a different crossing altitude. The one common part is that it’s not one company, I’ve heard every company get into trouble with atc, ground, radar (including Hawaiian).

I fly etops because it’s laid back and it’s less work, inter-island is fun (get low and call the field in sight) and the layovers are pretty chill. Every time I start complaining about my life I fly a domestic trip into Atlanta, Denver, Chicago… etc Running a de-ice checklist dodging thunderstorms is way worse than the island lifestyle. SWA flying to the islands is not going to change. Honestly, I hope you guys keep kicking ass with your great service. Just stop insinuating that your gods greatest gift to man by flying the b track and crossing over Bambo at 10k. 🤙
As someone who came to HAL with quite a bit of mainland experience, I definitely agree with this. I've flown both interisland and the transpac side and both are the easiest flying I've ever done in my career. Cracks me up how much the 330 guys think ETOPS means they should be paid $100/hr more than interisland. We have it so easy at this airline and we love to make it complicated for no reason.
