Listen, I get it, new guys screw up a radio call, a clearance, **** off ground at hnl or ask for a different crossing altitude. The one common part is that it’s not one company, I’ve heard every company get into trouble with atc, ground, radar (including Hawaiian).
I fly etops because it’s laid back and it’s less work, inter-island is fun (get low and call the field in sight) and the layovers are pretty chill. Every time I start complaining about my life I fly a domestic trip into Atlanta, Denver, Chicago… etc Running a de-ice checklist dodging thunderstorms is way worse than the island lifestyle. SWA flying to the islands is not going to change. Honestly, I hope you guys keep kicking ass with your great service. Just stop insinuating that your gods greatest gift to man by flying the b track and crossing over Bambo at 10k. 🤙
Where were you when many RJ pilots were paid 10% of wide-body pay rates? Love your enthusiasm though. The job’s gotten easier the more you make and vise versa. In my memory anyways. If the 717 pilots don’t get a disproportional increase, I’m voting any AIP down.
