If you have min quals, I think they mostly want people who won't quit when offered a CJO at another airline that's offering CA upgrades in attractive bases at the 1 yr point. A friend of mine got A320 CA at LAX at United after 1 yr. SWA really doesn't want anyone who might consider that to be a good deal.
