I had Kai Kawus, whom, despite multiple efforts, I refused to sign off. His solo attempt was illegal, which earned him the nickname, "foolish king." All the locals called him "dumb ass," though mostly behind his back.
Back in those days, flight instructing was a tough way to make a living. I had to take a second job as a pastry chef, making Baklava. Sweet side deal stomping olives on the weekends, though. Great for the feet.
