I feel like this was the best environment we could have hoped for to make gains in sections 1-31, not just 1, 3, 7, 8, 25 and 28. I think 3 years was more than enough time to get that done. This was the most unified I had seen this group, pre or post VX merger. We held the cards in April. This ain't a flying club, this is how we provide for our families and care for ourselves. We work our arses off and deserve nothing less than a top tier CBA. Anybody says differently should go back to burning holes in some class G airspace on the weekends. I acknowledge we got some very important protections, ie. scope and rsv rules. I'm grateful for those but I feel like we pulled up short after that.I sincerely hope the Average pay adjustment does work. Im not saying it will never happen. (Saying something will never happen is as dumb as saying something will definitely happen, which a few on here repeatedly do). I just don't see it happening until '24, due to SWA being so far behind in their negotiations. I base that on conversations with SW pilots. Time will tell. But, to those that say, "don't like it, leave"....no, I'm not the one that needs to leave.... I'm going to stay and advocate for AS pilots because I believe we have more than earned our seat at the table. Perhaps those that don't feel we have, should be the ones to consider leaving. Allow the rest of us to remain and raise the bar for once.
