You are right. Actually I was in the process of being a check airman, but because they are getting rid of my fleet type, they said, go to the Q instead

The Union never got voted in, and even without a Union the Committee guys said we'll fly the plane anyway. If their is a willingness to work for sub-par wages or salaries, management will always get there way.
If you think we have sub-par wages, then what about our work rules. I think a union would be very beneficial in raising the bar there. Don't you? Or are you happy with our work rules?

I consider any union committee member who fought to unionize for better pay, lost, and then signed up to fly the Q400 regardless, no different then a scab crossing a picket line.
The main reason I was fighting for a union was for protection for our medical and pilot certificates. After that a betterment of work rules and pay would be icing on the cake.
