The company was adamant that 10am day one reserve, increased medical costs, and reassignment language was in the new TA. They have been angling for those things for years and unfortunately for them those items were nonstarters in today's market. They didn't read the room and negotiated entirely too hard.
A ceo walking out to a picket to shake hands after 5 yrs of no contract and still egg dripping from the faces of everyone involved with that TA isn't going to go well. That was predictable.
Non-starters in todays market. Absolutely. Almost every concession is. How do you explain how and why our Union tried to sell it so hard? I’m saying the blame isn’t 100% on UA management.
