It is going to happen. Not in my career timeframe for me to worry. I’m early 40s. I arrived early on in the wave at delta and will survive the cut from 2 to 1 if that happens in the next decade. I seriously doubt this. That said, I have discouraged my kids from the industry. It hasn’t been hard, they are not interested. The new generation of pilots has more to worry about than the previous generations have, IMHO.
