I’m considering that none hired after Aug have made it to the line yet.
Hiring 600 and having a net gain of 150 makes that a bleak number.
That snap shot only covers a period where in the beginning of it we had about 60 leaving a month which were mostly the COVID refugees that were going to leave anyways most likely. Then, at the end of that snapshot it only covers a few months of when the E3 recruiting really started in earnest.
If you take a look at the 09/22 list to the 11/22 list it was a net increase of 100 pilots. I think the December list will show a continued trend. However, it's only a matter of time for major hiring to ramp up even more and the amount of eligible E3 candidates deplete. The sudden stinginess of XXX travel is not helping their cause either.
Management is probably looking pretty favorably toward the numbers but they are going to get themselves in the same situation all over again if their only strategy is hope for a recession.
