It shows how badly a contract is needed to solve an issue at both of our airlines. If Frontier and Spirit merged they would have needed to solve that issue fairly quickly in order to staff the airline and grow as they planned. Not to mention the pesky problem of actually completing a merger. Thought that was fairly obvious.
1) Thank God the F9 merger died. Nothing against the F9 pilots, want to work with them, but cant stand that management
2) Franke wont do anything "quick," and I doubt that guy would give the contract that many on here are wanting, just to merge the airlines. This isnt like JBlu where you have 2 different airline business models, Franke runs many ULCC carriers and I dont think for a second he would feel he "needed to solve" any issue quickly.
3) If attrition is so bad at F9, where is the contract to address that? Probably because (see #1 and #2 above)
Again, love the pilots at F9, but cant stand that management group.
