Yes that’s my point to the original poster—that’s an awesome gig as-is and they are lucky to have it. There’s a delicate balance between the line and the instructor cadre allowing for that role to even exist, and the max 2 flight days provision is at the center of that compromise.

Demanding the ability to fly more while keeping their position—all while adjunct/the line/VDA/RSA are readily available options for this person to get their FAR/FOM upgrade hours—it’s tone deaf and only serves to cast attention on a role that some folks would love to gut, given the opportunity.

That role is a privilege—not an entitlement.
