If anyone reading this doesn't believe anything I'm saying try asking a steward or negotiator off the record if they think this will drag out for years and years under NMB.

The company is smart AND they need everyone here for the busy spring and summer, there is no way they let it go to the NMB soon. They will move the needle just enough to keep you thinking there is a chance.
From what i'm hearing yesterday management made a "solid" offer this week for Sections 11 and 20. Apparently the new leadership in those departments basically put down the stuff we the pilots actually care about for training. sources did not say it was some great, fantastic kumbaya week, just that the new regime in flight ops and training were prepared and realistic in what they offered. I don't think we should be surprised MB knows this stuff inside and out.

take it for what its worth. per sources: "nobody should be super excited or think that we have gotten any closer in other sections of the contract, just that there is not a grand canyon separating management and the union when it comes to training."

honestly, i don't know whether this is good news or bad news. should it really be "good news" that management isn't doubling down on what has historically been at best, below average training? with all the growth management wants to have, training should be easy to get done - what is there to fight about?
