Mesa CEO sent an email company wide saying all current American flying will be transitioned to UA during that same time. COO just sent an email confirming the timeline. Yes, the CEO said the “agreement was being finalized” so it’s not technically currently in stone. So what happens next is anyone’s guess unless you’ve been in the room with Kirby and Ornstein.
It's not a guess that their 900s will NOT be flying for United Express. Our scope has been explained and I can assure everyone that we will not be loosening it for even 1 second. The pilots may end up flying 170/175s that are already under the cap? UA owns some of the planes so maybe they could move some into Mesa?
