The "XXX" gateway program is going away, and we are not sure how that will affect the pilots who live outside the 50 states, with a permanent address outside the 50 states.. It sounds like if you have a US Gateway, your overseas travel options won't change.
To explain this further, if you have a US permanent address (which means US Gateway), and frequently travel, or live overseas, Atlas will (usually), compare the cost of your ticket from your US Gateway to/from wherever they want you to go, to the cost of the ticket from wherever you are, to/from wherever they want you to go, when deciding if they are going to buy a ticket...
Thanks for sharing that. I spoke w several Atlas fellows yesterday in Hann.. Some comments about how, since Apollo purchased Atlas, cost cutting measures were being implemented. It was also mentioned that the “only” international travel Atlas is paying for is to complete training but nothing more. IDK weather something else was communicated to the foreign pilot group when they were hired. Our own foreign pilots here at National have worldwide home-basing with travel paid for by entirely by the company.
