AA/DL are hiring for retirements for now and not growth. Worst case a recession hits and they chop from the head instead of the toe with retirements and early outs
I think UA is a house of cards. Kirby is obsessed with sticking it to his rivals and former bosses at AA and he's in a race with them to outcompete on the "bigger is better" scale. Their overhead is already massive and I don't think they have the premium revenue to support it in the long run. Nevertheless they're over leveraging badly in this expansion and UAL has a long history of spending like drunken sailors until the day the music stops. The next time that place collapses it's gonna be ugly. I wouldn't want to be in the bottom 50% over there.
